I bought a '11 Charger w/Pentastar v6 as a beater... Once I upgraded the oil cooler to an aluminum one with high temp o-rings (factory is plastic with plain rubber o-rings as is 90% of aftermarket replacements) all the issues went away.
It's a tarded desing, it sits in the valley beneath the intake and the oil temp & pressure sensors are attached to it, if either of those screw up, the computer practically kills the car.
Besides that, extremely comfortable for long distance driving & extremely good on gas with a basic tune, 8.0L/100Kms... 30 miles per burger. (Diablo Sport tuner, 87 oct tune).
Overall, besides a bad engine design that's upgradeable for less than 200$ and a suspension with too many moving parts, it's pretty decent considering that all modern vehicles are garbage.
I've heard chargers can be decent. Sounds like fun fixing it up.
I had a Mazda RX-8 for many years. After upgrading the suspension, cooling system, ignition and clutch that thing would go like stink as long as you kept the revs right. However man anything that thing needed work...$$$
I did frankly never feel safer than in that car. It would go quick, stop quick, handle like it was on rails and was comfy.
Gas mileage and constantly adding oil was an absolute pain in the ass.
Most decent vehicles have shitty gas mileage, they're safer (heavier build) and have engines made before EPA tier 2 standards. I know lots of guys who went all in on RX-8s, then came children and the toy went away, it is expensive to maintain...

Oh that 8 I had got something like 18mpg city and 23 on the highway. Beautiful sounding engine imo but when you're cruising at 75mph and it's at damn near 4rpms. You can watch the gas gauge go down.

Rider here. Sir Chinkalot was hauling entirely too much ass. hit the front brake and did an endo so when the chink in a cage turned right Endo Chink had no chance to stop in time. Hell at the 2 second mark you can see where he has almost flipped the bike over and it's going to ride him. hit the cager and was dead before the fire started.

He could have survived it though if he swerved the bike to the right and jumped off as he went off the road into the bush.
