Tesla believes radiant energy was the most important form of electrical energy he worked with. He first famously created DC motors then he discovered AC and created AC motors which we all use today then he discovered radiant energy and he stopped all his work on DC and AC and focused everything on radiant.

What I get from the video is that radiant energy is the electric potential that develops when there is a large and rapid change in voltage at a single point.
