Yeah he was quite pervy in his lyric writing— I could have done without the raunchy shit. I listened to him discuss how he learned piano from his dad, who was very competitive with him, and put down his playing alot. It seemed to drive him to become more proficient. He was just a great song writer.

Theres this George Harrison tribute video that Ive probably seen a dozen times. Maybe you know it. The moment Prince starts his solo and you just know its turned into a Prince concert. Always makes me laugh. He was a great guitarist too.

Let’s Go Crazy is one of my fave Prince songs. I think Little Red Corvette is pretty good, so is Raspberry Beret, I Would Die 4 U. They are all insanely catchy.

While we are on the subject I have had an earworm in my head for like a week since I heard it at the grocery store. Its Loverboy by Billy Ocean. Those songs that were in heavy rotation around 1986 or so are carved in my brain.
