I've dealt with guys like this before. To them violence is some made up thing they only see in Marvel movies and cartoons. It's always clean and the good guys always win. When they realize it's none of those things they change quickly.

and you can't let them just walk away. If they back down and don't get the beating that's coming to them you have to humiliate them. If they're with friends or a woman say something that will make her lose all respect for him. Make it personal. If he's alone say something you know will enrage him- something political about niggers or any of the faggots he loves. They can't just threaten like that and not take their punches.
