Been giving this advice to newly wed men.

Women are emotional and irrational. Do NOT treat your wife as your equal. She will lose respect for you if you do. She needs to be treated like a child to feel comfortable in the relationship. That means telling her "no" a lot and not letting her bait you into arguments.
