They were hoping to take that nuclear plant and hold it hostage as a bargaining chip in ceasefire negotiations, which should happen, as predicted, in October. We'll see.
The first thing Russia did was build a fortified line along that road that runs south west from the power plant area. But the Ukrainians will never get near it. They're contained and being ground into fertilizer at this point.
The crazy part of this is how they all agree to just go die.
I'm hearing Ukraine has around 200,000 deserters. I've also heard the troops that went into Russia are speaking Polish. But yeah, why would they just jump into the fire like that?
