My local radio station (98KUPD) host a big show every year called U-fest.
Back in 1996 Chino got the crowd to riot and the show got shut down before Type O Negative could play. They hunted down Deftones and beat the shit out of them.
The morning show host loves to tell the story every chance he gets. Steele told the station manager,"Take me to Deftones". So the guy did because he was terrified to tell him no.
