Well I haven't read everything but to claim you heard it all and call it bullshit. Is well... suspicious since I've read plenty that wasn't bullshit.

From the comments -

'It’s funny how many comments point out the foibles of this dude’s self-important review hatchet job. He act like he’s David Attenborough doing the life cycle of the Albatross’ journey across the world just because he has the accent and speaking mannerisms of a documentarian. The reality is simple….hes just making this crap up as he goes'

Interesting video.

I think I need to watch that movie again. Don’t think I’ve seen it in 30 years.

Its good. Don’t listen to that guy.

I remembered that I enjoyed it.

I would call it a good bad movie, strangely watchable inspite of itself.
I do wonder if the casting of wooden actors in many of the roles was imposed on the production in order to dampen the effect of the message.

The effects are dated. That doesn’t really bother me. I think it’s a well done movie. I dont think the writing or the acting are bad. What’s wrong with Michael York? He was good. Jenny Agutter was good. The rival sandman guy was good too.

It hurts a bit to say it because he seems like a decent sort but Michael York is possibly the most wooden actor I’ve ever seen.
Same for Jenny Agutter but to be fair the role wasn’t exactly made to showcase her acting chops.
Still I agree the film was strangely watchable for all that.

That was an interesting video.

I happen to like Logans Run. He was running it down a bit. But I really enjoyed it. Ive probably seen it 20 or 30 times.

Interesting comparison to ancient city states where the precursors to our modern abrahamic religions were born.

I agree, that was an interesting investigation of an interesting movie and it’s corollary.
I would say though that Abraham rebelled against the religion of the Chaldees and left the city to meet with the true Creator in the desert :)

That was such a bad movie. Read the book instead, it's slightly less retarded.

There is no sanctuary.

Perhaps, but if you make it to the top of Carousel you could win renewal! If you are strong enough. It’s worth a shot isn’t it?

(It’s mandatory if you are 30 years old (21 in the book.))

It was before my time, but underneath the hippie sixties aesthetic was a great movie with a poignant message.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 0 points 9 monthsSep 15, 2024 15:13:27 ago (+0/-0)

21 in the book? Thats not a viable society.

That bit really creeped me out as a kid. And also the evil robot.
