Eh, dumbass mistakes like that happen when you first learn. This nigger couldn't immediately figure it out though. Even putting them together and asking the internet for help.

I usually use wood for things. Making/building/repair work and so on. Got a bunch of random bits and boards in the garage that I use. It's fun.

There's only one way to get good with your hands. Use them.

Well, everybody has to start somewhere.

Experience comes from failure. You get more data from failure than you do from success.

When my kids and grandkids would make things out in the shop, I would stand back and only provide safety, and only as much advice as was asked for.

"Grumpaw, I don't understand. I measured everything twice. It should all fit. What happened?"

"Well, Sweetness, I think we may have reached the time for us to discuss something called, 'tolerance stacking'."

The beginning of wisdom is the honest admission that you DON'T know every-goddamm-thing already.

Asking for help is a good step.
