They are sort of like praying a rosary, or a series of smaller prayers but they seem to be more focused on specific intentions. I am surprised I hadn't seen these before now. That looks like a partial list as I am seeing more and different ones too.
A 7 decade sorrows sounds pretty intense. That would be difficult to pray every day.
This is spoken out of ignorance. We have the Our Father, Hail Mary, Fatima, Glory Bee, Apostle's Creed, Hail Holy Queen - on top of 5 liturgical mysteries that change daily. Once you get tired of doing that, there are an immense number of chaplets that take different forms, some of them the same bead format, some different. And, you can add stuff, meditate, or emphasize things as you like. God is welcoming to all, this is just one(or several) path to follow Christ.
The rosary was made so people that didn't have access to written scripture would be able to connect with their faith.
