It's a hoax.

"while he seemed like a nice guy with a neat story, I knew it was way too good to be true. There's a reasonable argument to be made that Otto Carter's real birthday was actually a lot later.

There's another FindAGrave.com page for an Otto "Don" Carter who also was born in Grant County, Indiana, in 1887, who would have been 71 at the time of the recording. Otto Carter was born as Otto Marine, the second child of Solomon Marine and Sarah Alameda Tweedy, but he later changes his name after his mother would remarry when he was a child. It was actually his stepfather, Millard Fillmore Carter, who was born in 1856 (just 3 years after the president Millard Fillmore leaves office), who would have been 102 years old in 1958. No record of what happened to his stepfather or the rest of his (known) family.

There seems to be no record I can find of a travelling vaudeville roller skater named Otto Carter before 1945. No record of his parents being famous skating stars either. There's also no record of Otto "Don" Carter of even having a wife or children, and he conveniently leaves their names out in every interview he gives. I'm gonna call bullshit on this one."

Yeah, no way that guy is 102. No way. Period. Go look at anyone over 100. You'll be able to tell.

Yea, for real.
I actually meet a 102 year guy while working on his daughter's (or granddaughter's) farm property doing some dry wall renovations as a 18/19 yera old back around 1988/89.
dude was still very active, outside each morning sweeping and raking leaves (basically just fluff work stuff), winkled and tanned af, still had his hearing and eye sight - piercing bright sparkling blue eyes, didnt drink or smoke and real soft quiet spoken with this cool sense of humor - me and my boss would converse with him at our lunch breaks, then he would head off for a cup of tea and nap / lol- now i wish i actually spoke more to the guy about life in 1900 and shit before WW1.

I wish I knew what to ask/talk about at the time too! The grandmother I was closest to and spent the most time with was born in 1908. Unfortunately she died at age 90 when I was in high school. Her mother had only died a few years prior at 104. I wish I could go back in time to talk with them.

[ - ] dass 1 point 8 monthsOct 17, 2024 16:02:30 ago (+1/-0)

Yea.
I still vaguely recall my great-grandparents when they were alive and visiting (and or staying over) several times on the back on my two older brother's bicycle (i must of been between 5-9) and doing yard work for bottles of Double R soft drinks. He had served in WW1, and they both emigrated from Scotland after the war to NZ.
Sadly i only remember the strong scots burr sound of her voice and him smiling. Meh such is life, enjoy each day something something.

80s tops and probably the first half

[ - ] NeverHappened 0 points 8 monthsOct 17, 2024 10:31:36 ago (+0/-0)

I would tend to agree in general however I recently had three patients whose ages actually shocked me. They were all late 90s, like 96-98, two men and a woman and I would have confidently put them each early 80s max. They were all active people with great personalities and outlooks on life.

my grandmas biggest dream was holding on until she turned 100 and getting a telegram from the queen.

sadly she didnt quite make it :/

did get a war medal for being a land army girl just before she died.

My wife’s great grandmother lived till 104, she died around ten years ago. My kids got to meet their great great grandmother. She was fucking awesome. First time i met her she told me about her cat named “nigger” and she was yelling out the door “here nigger nigger”
And to quote her “and wouldn’t ya know, what comes walking down the road? But a fuckin nigger!” She said this with a smile on her face and everything. Of all the years she had existed, the story she wanted to share with me was that one and it brought her great joy. She was like 4’something, and an awesome lady. I’m glad i got to meet her. As a matter if fact i am smiling just typing this thinking about her. I knew her for ten years.

I want a great grandma like that.

But at my age she'd be pushing 200

You're very welcome. I love the elderly. I play bingo once a week at a nursing home near me. I treasure their counsel on life and enjoy their company.

Iam really starting to detest everything about the jew controlled world I grew up in, I wish i wanted children when i was younger but jews made married with children look just like the TV show, my own parents also divorced when i was young and really reinforced the idea of marriage and relationships as something that just makes you miserable.
