No, Catholics as a people do not rape and abuse children. A number of priests did do that and the church has spent billions trying to make it right. Any amount of money will never heal those wounds but it is one of the few options available to try to help. In the 70s, there was a decline in clergymen so the church decided that it would lower its recruiting standards, focusing on gays, and those with mental handicaps. The church is still paying for that mistake. I, as a Catholic, find sexual activities with minors absolutely abhorrent and certainly worthy of an eternity burning in a lake of fire.
I think you are confusing the institution of church with the people, the church.
I am glad to hear that your money only goes to good causes and you never let an errant dollar fall to an evil organization like Nabisco, Pepsi, Mondolez, Budweiser, Levi's, Blackrock, Purina, Adidas, Nike, Chase, Wells Fargo, Citi, the Red Cross, Microsoft... Shall I continue?
The people who run your church and religion use your donations to pay the victims who they raped. They yave paid billions in the last 20 years alone. That's just for the cases of rape that have had victims speak out. Imagine how many you don't even know about!
Now you're trying to deflect and act as if be buying a can soda is on par with you giving donations to child rapists. That's obviously one of your ways you use to avoid the truth.

Catholics are no different in they take advantage of and hurt children. Then they hide behind the shield that is religion.

We're required by law to pay taxes. No laws state we have to donate our money to any church. You choose to support that filth by funding it.
