I might be a complete IDIOT, or maybe it's honesty. The Smashing Pumpkins have recently become more active on social media, and as individuals they have actually responded to some of my comments on posts made. I was thinking of sending these 2 tracks to Jimmy Chamberlin their drummer. Personally I think he is the BEST right after John Bonham. I was going to send to him just to ask if they were something he or the band would appreciate.. am I delusional to ask for a reaction from one of them?

I am away from home, mostly... I had a death in the family and am not yet home.

I'd be devastated. Fortunately, I'd still have other reasons to live. However, that'd be a kick in the gut.

all we know as of now is he was found in a body of water, we dont even know which one, presumed drowned, pending autopsy results.

But we dont even know if he was in a vehicle or just a lone body

I just got an update on the details about Verles son, He did not die from drowning. They believed he died from a drug overdose, but the toxicology confirmed that he did not. apparently it is to remain a mystery, they do not suspect foul play, so someone may have got away with murder, which would suck, cause they murdered verle's kid and they should be locked up, if, and that might be a big if, that is even the case.

He didnt drown and he didnt overdose, to me, means he was dead before he hit the water

what did he die from?

the only thing that I can really think of besides muder would be one of those vaccine related sudden deaths that leave doctors baffled that seems to happen to a lot of young people and athletes these days

LOL We're way past that point. We're just about to leave NY, hammering on it up 95. We'll be in Maine in 6 or so hours. We've made good time. Biff is driving at the moment. I'm on my phone, streaming football 'cause I can.

Man, that has to suck. I can't really think of anything else worth saying. I'd go all Buddhist, but that's not going to help anyone. I'd just make sure that Verle feels like he has a reason to keep living, that he has good friends who care.

I have another update about Verle's son. It turns out that he was found in the river on May 3rd. It took the authorities until October 18th to identify him.

But its wierd, Verle on Friday night told me that his son came over three weeks ago and gave him his ID to hold for him so he doesn't lose it and he will come back and get it when he needs it. Verle says that was three weeks ago. He was found May 3rd, way longer than 3 weeks ago. Verle's son's mother's twin sister came over here last night and showed me text messages that she had from Verle about his son coming over and dropping off his ID and that was dated April 21st. So shortly before he was found dead on May 3rd. Verle has no sense of time apparently. There was something else that he told me happened recently that had to do with her, and she said that was at least a year ago, and Verle told me it was a month ago

David says to tell you that it'll take some time for the police to figure this one out. Have patience and keep on the police to solve it. Pester them daily and do your best to get the media involved. That might be tough but it's important.

David is driving. We may need one more fuel stop but we're getting good mileage unless we go above 85 MPH.

I love you starting and doing these threads... but the more and more I hear you have to be a major professional that is being paid and known in the upper echelon of the music industry. Hell even Rick Beato doesn't match some of the tones and accuracy you post here.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm pretty good. I've invested a good portion of my life.

Like many musicians, by far most musicians - even professional musicians - stardom just wasn't in the cards for me. I'm okay with that and I don't regret my choices.

But, yeah, I've played professionally since I was 16 I guess. That's when I was first paid to play a gig.

For a few times in my life, I made my living through my musicianship. I can play other instruments as well, but am less experienced with them and tend to not practice them often.

Tone is one of the things I work hard on. If it's a song you know, it should sound like you heard it on the record. People don't understand how difficult that is.

In my case, it's slightly easier these days. I can often replicate the exact chain used by the original artist, including guitar models. I have a rather exhaustive collection and can at least find an analog if not the exact thing - most of the time.

I can also cheat and throw a ton of effects at it in post - or even use amp modeling when needed.

It's not ego when I say I'm good. I know I'm good. After this many years, and I credit a lot to having started as a classical guitarist, I better be good. If not, I should pick something else to take up all that time.

I am confident in saying that I'm a better guitar player than many professional guitar players.

Again, that's not ego. It's just reality. I try to remain humble and attribute it all to the time I've invested practicing. I don't really think I have some innate ability, but I might and I might just not know it.

An upvote can mean, "I acknowledge this." Or at least it can mean that to me. It doesn't have to mean that you like what happened, only that you have some degree of sympathy or understanding.

At least that's how I view it.

I hope you don't take this wrong... This is the best thing you've uploaded. Verle isn't gargling, there's a song structure that is great, meaningful lyrics, guitar in tune, and it's soulful. I dig that bro
