Awesome. Changing seasons is one of the only things I miss about living up North. We might get one or two trees out of a hundred that changes colors, but it's pretty much ever green all year.
Appalachia has it right. Evey year while up in the north, the colors would start and some nasty, windy rain will come through and knock down the majority of the leaves.
Georgia mountains usually get a very light amount of rain in September and October...so the few trees that turn also have their leaves fall on their own. It's nice.
I need to visit. Through hiking the Appalachian Trail is one of my bucket list items, though I tend to believe it'll go unrealized. Also, the wife keeps bringing up going up there for a vacation. So yeah, there's something about that area calling out to me.
You do need to come and vacation here. We have some incredible state parks that are beautiful. It's been years and years since I've been there but Fall Creek Falls State Park is one of the most beautiful places on earth this time of year. That's a little to the west of the Appalachia Trail but a great place to go.
It’s been so nice, Bob. It hasn’t rained in over two weeks, which is why everything looks so great. Unfortunately, it poured last night. I’m going to be sad to see the remnants. It was good while it lasted!
