I think you might be partially correct.
Don't get it twisted though, once they get here, they become one of them.

and it gets worse... I often say it as:

"They believe the brochure"

Not only do they Americanize, they do it in the worst possible ways.
They believe the scammer is king of opportunity, they chase the easy life of scumfuckery.
and they catch it.

They aren't nearly as desirable after that occurs. I don't know how you could isolate a person enough to prevent it aside from locking them in a cage. Hey that might work.
