Womens MakeUp - A double-edged sword

The original title for this was going to be "Ban all women's makeup", but the reality is that makeup does enhance the beauty of a woman if used responsibly. The double-edged sword is meeting a gal in public that's beautiful through the magic of makeup, and then finding out that shes rather unappealing...

Faking attractiveness leads to nothing good.

It's led to Hundreds of millions of Dates, Engagements, Marriages, Children...

Or perhaps it is tangential at best and people would do that anyway...

That would be an interesting case study! Guys will pretty much fuck anything when the urge comes a callin... So maybe you are correct!

Teeming hordes of overpopulation.

Yet, makeup has built the movie industry. Would we go to the movies if we saw these harpies on the big screen without makeup?

You say that implying that the movie industry is 'good'...

There you go. Fake attractiveness leads to fake realities.

Groomed eyebrows and a lick of mascara/ eye liner, maybe a little blush is all that is needed to enhance what's already there. And that's for fancy occasions.
Women slop shit on their faces, then more shit to remove that shit, and more shit after that and they wonder why their skin is bad. Not to mention that a lot of the ingredients in cosmetics are questionable at best.
Additionally, I would say 50% or more of those "make-up less pics" in the article still have minimal make-up present.
My mother taught the girls in our house that you shouldn't be able to tell if a woman has make-up on if it's properly applied/utilized. My mother was and is still beautiful tho so easier for her than some uggo.

I too am a fan of eye liner on women.

It’s a damn shame I’ve been seeing it on fat men in stores lately. Last several stores I’ve visited, many of the cashiers were young men in makeup. One broke my heart because it was a bearded white guy who didn’t look too bad. Shame he’s a fruitcake because there’s a woman out there who would probably be good for him.

Couldn't agree more! Your Mom is/was wise!

The only amount of acceptable make-up is "none".

But women don't use make-up for men - they use it for other women. That's the same reason they dress fancy.

All decisions of a woman are based on what other women will think of them.

Makeup grosses me out.

Moderation is the key...

Makeup is toxic to skin, no matter how much is used. Skin needs to breathe.

Ever wear a latex glove for 8 hours? How does it feel? My hands get very uncomfortable after a few minutes and I have to take the gloves off at regular intervals.

I don't know, a negligible amount isn't such a bad thing, and, there must be some makeups out there that are more healthy (ie. Non-Toxic) to use than others.

Moisturizers and such things that are designed to absorb into the skin are less toxic - aside from the spf versions that are designed to block uv rays.

Any makeup that does colorizing only can do so by covering the skin - which makes the skin adapt to being covered all day. No matter what the ingredients are, or say, anything covering skin that can't breathe affects skin negatively and the more it is used the worse the skin gets. This is why women without makeup actually look worse - the skin isn't natural anymore and creates that ugly look to where these women feel the need to keep using the makeup. Never ending cycle of toxicity.
