Fatties are notoriously bad at admitting they're fat. My rule is that if you can bench press your own weight then you can dismiss your BMI. If not then take the fat diagnosis.

She says it came out in the 90s. Says "We were the first generation to be subjected to this experiment." But cites growing obesity stats that include the 80s. The reality is they were not the first generation to face manipulated health guidance.
In the 1970s the department of health was taken over my radical vegans that tried to convince the public that sugar is good. They also tried to convince the public that not only was meat bad but every component found in meat was bad. Salt was made bad because if you can convince people of that you might convince people of one more reason to not eat meat. Same with cholesterol. Same with fat.
Now the 1970s was not the first to get manipulated health guidance by their government either.
During wartime, WWII, they needed to convince people to eat the food they weren't trying to send to the troops. An army can't march further than it's stomach. The bottleneck always ends up being protein. So while they did send the soldiers grain, the war planners were always concerned about how much protein they could get their hands on. So what did they tell the American public. They didn't lie as much as they could have. They didn't demonize meat. They did guilt and say that eating too much of it is selfish. But they put out propaganda that said the more grain you eat the taller you end up. They made at least one BS film about it.
So the point is that when she says she's the first generation to deal with manipulated health guidance its BS. She took a true concept, that the food pyramid is bad, and then just said whatever.
But I get it. She's hot in a loudmouthy sort of way and wants to become a new AOC.
My theory is that corn was paid to be grown to devalue the price that farmers pay to grow food at least for the past 100 years. Given the technology at the time corn turns soil into dust farms that let farmers slip on their mortgages leading the banks to claim on properties.
And the lady tenant came out and offered me a Dr Pepper in 90+ degree heat and 100080millionth degree humidity.
I politely so no thank you because in this day in age wymxnz are useless and they'd just stare at you with hate while petting their child cat and never offer a mxn water.
I've tried to explain these and other issues to my lovely but overweight boomer mother on so, so many occasions. I cannot get past her programing that fat is bad. Even when I explain things taste like shit without fat so food is packed full of sugar/sugar substitute to make it palatable. This will not satisfy and so the individual will eat something else in hopes of feeling satiated. Though BMI is not an accurate measurement for individuals, mine is 21 and I haven't struggled with my weight since I quit drinking nearly two decades ago. (To clarify, I had a little extra weight when I was a heavy drinker). It's crazy to me that fat people disregard advice from those in good shape b/c it goes against what they are taught and what they want to do. Ask yourself what do you really want: That piece of cake or a healthy body? Sometimes I do want the cake and that's okay too. I think totally depriving oneself leads to failure so this is where discipline comes in. But I still think it's very simple. Avoid seed oil and excess sugar, eat meat and fat and what you feel like in moderation. Move your body and think deeply. That's it.

Eating fat is good.
