How is it possible for bread to be 3 weeks old and show no sign of spoilage?

submitted by Niggly_Puff to AskUpgoat 5 monthsNov 10, 2024 22:53:27 ago (+14/-0)     (AskUpgoat)

Bread used to get moldy after a week or so. But these days it doesn't mold after 3+ weeks. I throw it away before it molds. What changed?

This is exactly what I am talking about! WTF changed I wonder? Bread used to be a comfort food but now I feel uncomfortable eating it.

Few problems with bread:

It’s treated with bromine which competes for iodine receptors.

It contains elemental iron. Keep bloodletting, boys. Through donation or therapeutic phlebotomy.

You have the brainpan of a stagecoach tilter.

You might have a radiation chamber in the distribution process. Some products with a short shelf life were approved by the FDA to be irradiated in transit. Milk, tomatoes, strawberries, stuff like that.
A truck would pull up, unload stacks of product onto a conveyer belt and roll them through... I don't know what... Like a little Chernobyl, your neighborhood Fukushima... and the exposure to radiation would kill all the bacteria preventing natural spoilage. They deemed it harmless to humans. Don't know if it's still being done, but they started doing it about 30 years ago.

It's definitely still being done. A lot of the produce that comes from abroad is irradiated.

Yeah, I remember hearing about the global Kodak Alimentarus treaty like 20+ years ago that was supposed to ad pasteurization of a bunch of shit like nuts etc as well.

Make your own sourdough. It's easy. Once you do, you'll never look back.

Modern bread goes mouldy, but real bread goes stale. This is because of emulsifying agents used in modern goyslop that prioritise shelf life, profit and aesthetics over nutritional content.
If your bread ever goes mouldy and takes ages to get there, you are not eating bread but a food like product approximating bread.

I don't know why everyone is all of sudden concerned about bread. And I am too. It's kinda weird. I been trying to figure out healthy bread for like the last 2 weeks. It's like when you hear a new then start hearing it everywhere.

It's fake bread! https://www.upgoat.net/viewpost?postid=6731b6aa7f995

After freezing fake bread it will last several months with no spoilage.

Real bread will still go bad in a week if you leave it on the counter-top.

Get a bread maker and a cool slicer. Put vintage bread slicer in your search googlejew's abusive search engine.

[ - ] Master_B 0 points 5 monthsNov 11, 2024 09:46:47 ago (+0/-0)

Real bread is water, flour, salt and yeast or sourdough. Will mold within a week.

Because big companies have convinced everyone that government regulations are bad. They're communism. Over the years they chipped away at any regulation through lobbying and political donations (bribery) so now they can put any shit in your goyslop. According to capitalism, what you're supposed to do is go down to the local mom and pop bakery and buy their bread. But unfortunately as soon as that mom and pop store opens a second location, they're bought out and an "accountant" decides the shelf life of the bread can be increased by adding shit to it.

Welcome to modern day America
