Lemme explain this, been dealing with city council where I live.
First off you cannot engage anyone who sits on the council directly to berate them. Second is that really the council has zero influence with education.
The city manager often deal directly with cop shit in the city, and while he can't make them do something he can suggest it be done.
The county sheriff is who they need to get with, the DA, and the AG. The state board of education can too, the school honestly can't do shit but what they have done.
This was the school board not the city council. The school board definitely does have influence with what goes on in the schools. They are exactly the ones who make these decisions.
No, it really isn't. They are bound by the state board of education and all that entity cares about is attendance because of the federal funding they get to pay their wallet in administration.
