Hippies, hobos, bohemians, bums, anarchist types that can challenge governments like pirates, the mafia, serial killers and street gangs and the homeless are where it's at.

They were anti-war and wanted to prevent nuclear war. But then what does that have to do with power plants. Aren't they just over broadly generalizing all nuclear via association? Not entirely, because the US chose to make breeder nuclear power plants as a means toward have more nuclear weapons. So every new power plant, of the type we were building, meant more nuclear weapons at least at that time.

Now I agree with the meme. But it's worth putting some blame on the people made nuclear power an attack target for peacenics instead of just producing power.

It's meant to be ironic. Thing is most regions with power plants don't benefit from them in the first place, the power goes elsewhere.
