AND THE WORLD THINKS YOU'RE CRAZY

In reference to a post by CONSPIROLOGIST re only 1% visibility of the light spectrum by the human eye...it only stands to reason that 99% of capabilities are not utilized.

And the "experts" know this how?...how can this claim be proved and how was it discovered?

The subconsious mind picks up more than eyesight...ambient imput registers in the subconsious mind, latent in dormancy until out of nowhere a dejavu moment where something about whatever you're engaged in has a familiarity feel to it. If in conversation something might suddenly inexplicably come to mind and after relaying that stored info you're wondering how you acquired it, chances are, in the past, ie work, while being focused on the detail of whatever, you may have been in close proximity to a conversation, or media report from a radio or TV in the area, or whatever external influence in your vicinity, and although you weren't paying attention your subconsious was absorbing, registering and assigning an activation code, a future triggering mechanism that initiates it's release.
The trigger mechanism being a future conversation, a media report or whatever in your vicinity is relevant...at that moment it's like "dejavu".

Ancient theory is that when the elderly enter that period of "2nd childhood", and this is why the elderly are (wrongly) seen as senile, because they have so much time doing nothing anymore, no purpose or function and no detail to be focused on, their subconsious mind releases, in a calibrated way, all of the ambient activity and external information absorbed over the years. But nobody will understand how you came up with whatever it was that you said, in fact you won't even know where you got it and that's because it was subconsiously acquired and stored.

Poor Jonny, he doesn't even know what he's saying anymore...second childhood he's gone senile. When in fact Jonny is perfectly "S.A.N.E."

The subconsious mind is a multi tasking system that the conscious mind is incapable of. But there is a way to initialize subconsious recall and much of it is "SITUATION AWARENESS".

And I'll just leave it there at that

The second childhood is very much not like childhood. Children are very responsive to external stimuli. More-so than adults. But the senile take very little outside information. Their minds run on a wandering tredmill with only small blips of information getting in.

You claim the senile are more connected to reality. It's the opposite. Their condition is not entirely different than schizophrenia. I consider both to be on the same side of a spectrum.

See, the mind is always firing randomly, generating stochastic noise. This is true in everyone. The amazing thing that the brain is able to do is internally notice statistical variations in that stochastic noise and filter on it producing a more and more collapsed signal until a cohesive ideas exists. This is what a healthy brain is able to do. Because the senile brain is unresponsive to appropriate signals and still has neurons that fire at the same rate independent of useful signals the noise to signal ratio in their mind never collapses to constructive ideas. Not unlike the condition of a schizophrenic. A schizophrenic's mind generates too much noise. A senile mind propagates to little useful signal. Both have a massive noise to signal ratio operating in their brain. So both have unusful, non-sense ideas that don't relate to the real world. Both have inaccurate interpretations of the world around them.

That's why I think of them as being the same condition. There is a boundary line of the ability of the brain to filter properly where you have hit dysfunction. Across that boundary I don't think it is useful to categorize but instead color a spectrum of being more toward schizophrenia or alzheimers. But all alzheimers patients are going to have some schizophrenia like symptoms and visa versa because it's the same general condition. Noise dominating constructive neural pathways.

This is very much unlike children. Children like doing things like playing games and other things that require attention, observation and response. They like improving their responses rather than just demanding they got it right. They aren't resistant to forming new neural pathways or taking in new kind of input and learning how to filter on it.
