Sometimes called "doomsday fish," they are described in Japanese folklore as harbingers of disaster. It's suspected they could even be the origin of the mythical sea serpents drawn throughout history on sailors' maps.

The oarfish appearance with our impending doom is probably just a coincidence.

Let's hope it's a tsunami, followed by a volcanic eruption and then a forest fire that engulfs the entire state.

just typing it out is making me salivate and froth at the mouth.

Could happen. IMO people are very blase when it comes to the possibility of natural global cataclysms. They just write it off as fear mongering, but Mother Nature is a ruthless bitch.

As a California resident, I hope "doomsday" is coming. Of course, it's being reported by the CBC, which is Canada's state-run propagandist media, so it's just fearporn misinformation.
