My favorite means of obtaining media is the capitalistic process of me handing cash to a merchant and receiving a physical copy.

I don’t watch a lot of media so I’m happy to curate a small collection of the things I do enjoy. Best example: While I could pirate or stream a copy of Total Recall, I’d prefer to watch it on Blu Ray as it will offer the least amount of compression and I’ll be able to see the film grain. Not to mention the joy of looking at the box art and special features.

Also, I don’t like watching movies on a computer. I prefer the comfort of a couch and television. And much prefer never having to dick with a computer terminal or operating system in any setting involving a couch, television, and family.

Eventually, I’ll likely get a quality 4K television and 4K blu ray player if only to enjoy remastered classics. Can’t beat film. I know Star Trek is kiked to all Hell but would love a DS9 remaster.

A late reply! I started it a couple nights ago, on a different tv, but I was interrupted maybe 20 minutes in. I'm not stoked about the sequel so far, but I'll finish it soon.
