Most everyone is aware of it; some are more ready to admit it than others. Everyone was aware of it before it became commonplace too, but labels like "racist" and "bigoted" and "-phobic" effectively poisoned the well of public discourse.

Yeah, I definitely find myself engaging way less with my local community as it has become more foreign and brown. I thought about assisting with a local river clean up thing and then I realized I may have to deal with people I wouldn’t otherwise associate with. So yeah, big nope.
