Found a gaming laptop for about ~$680 with a Ryzen 7 7735HS Mobile CPU & Radeon RX 7700S 8GB GDDR6. Anyone got something that can top this for price/performance?

mobility. i would also like a desktop, but only if i find the laptop cannot suit my needs. though that may be happening soon because I have a whole bunch of stuff i want to run on my computer.

All accessories will not be included to US customers. But ASUS is the best value laptop I've found in 2024.

Dell Omniplex 16gb ram and 2- 2 tb hard drives. One SSd and one old school to back up shit on. $399. Linux Mint.

Rog Zephyrus M16

Rockin everything including Alyx and similar VR titles.
It's got a fucking RTX 3060 dude. It can game.
No slouch on the AI end either, though it could be better there (mooooore VRAM)

paid 2k like 4 years ago, using it today, no issues (cept HEAT) boy this thing gets fucking hot
It's basically a desktop because it never leaves the cooler and is always attached to a external display.
The internal display is fucking badass but its laptop size so...

I have a Strix laptop with a 3060ti, and I have a Tower build with a proper CPU, and a 3080.

Which do you suppose I use for VR?

I guess if you are playing Quest games or something, but you're not running DCS World on that.

Index is by far the most stable VR headset for DCS.

For what it is, the Index is pretty close to flawless.

I added a front fan, and I use a suspension system for the cable.

DCS World is free to play if you want to check it out. The Flaming Cliffs 3 package gives you access to 6 simple airframes for ~$20, but i think the su27 frogfoot is a free airframe.

I fly an F16, and am still learning everything about it after a solid year of flying.

Easy mod, and yeah there's a tonne of offline games, and other utilities.

Watching 3d movies in VR is lit.

where do you get this stuff? i tried looking up a bunch of the most popular games on the 7 seas and didn't find most of them. I'm not a fan of paying for crap before I know what it is, and I don't really want an account for devices that have no need to connect to the internet

Stable Diffusion for image, deforum for video, backyard.ai for text, bark for voice

I sometimes start up my Horde-ai node, and steal the generated images (and text). (Nerds are disgusting btw)
