My kid doesn't like the big monkey in the Jungle Book.

...it seems this is based on the quality of its' character.

In the remake, they made 'King Louie' a gigantic monster. Yuck.

They call them scouts now and my niece is a member. Fuck everything about that.

I was already pissed that the Boy Scouts essentially threw the Churches under the bus financially but allowing girls was the last straw for me. It was very sad b/c my middle boy really enjoyed Scouts and he comes from a scouting family.

We had that song he sings on a record “Disney’s Merriest Melodies” or something like that. I loved that song. We used to dance around and sing it. I know the whole thing by heart. All the scatting etc.

Yeah he’s clearly representative of a nigger. In the movie, its supposed to be Louie Armstrong but actually sung by a white guy. .The monkeys aspire to manhood but they can’t handle the awesome power of men, like fire. And obviously they like darkie music. Guess I did too!

The singer was Louis Prima from New Orleans. Disney liked his singing and his style. Louis Prima was famous for walking among the table in clubs, followed by his horn players. When he demonstrated this to Disney live, they incorporated the motions with the music.

Best song from that movie. Louis Prima was so great in his day. When his voice started giving out, he retired to Louisiana and opened a golf resort just north of Louisiana. Smart, talented fellow.

Here's the video for those who don't remember: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ud5J7Ye332I
