It's a hard day when I have to agree with Foo, but I do think Christians have borderline moronic views on the issue of race. And, truth told, I don't think most of them want to have those views. iSnark is not a moron whatsoever. They are faithful, and their commitments override what their common sense tells them. Unfortunately, I don't think the historical Jesus was stating any kind of general principles for any kind of general audience, so the application of his sayings to anything related to our current geopolitics and demographic concerns is just categorically wrong.
