Did anybody have a Christmas party at work?

Mine was alright. Got $200 cash. We had to buy a $30 gift certificate or a $30 gift. Then did a yankee swap thing. The gifts were mostly booze and lottery tickets. It was catered we had a prime rib dinner with some side dishes. All in all not bad.

YEAH! And this was the craziest one I've ever been to!

They didn't have any bonuses for us, or prizes. What they had was thousands of turkeys! We were told we could take as many as we wanted! It was weird! These Huge butterball turkeys Everywhere! And the suits all smiles telling us to load up on the turkeys. They must have gotten a very good deal on those turkeys.
The first one we cooked was the juiciest turkey I've ever seen! It's like it had been soaking in a brine of some kind ever since it was packaged! Huh!

I went this year. Wouldn't do it again. The suits from corporate were there. The food was alright (restaurant banquet room) and there were a few items raffled.

Despite there being an open bar, a good chunk of people, including the suits, went to the bar nextdoor afterwards. Mind you, this was on a Thursday night.

I always skip them. But I went to one once and we got like this custom crafted wooden cross. It was pretty cool. Put it on our fireplace mantle. One day we were praying as a family and it flew across the room and broke.

What I'm asking is did you get the bonus for going to the party. Or was it just a bonus announced at the party? There's a difference between attending a party and getting some gift cards and shit. And attending a party and getting 7k.

It was given to me as a good contractor you went above and beyond your contract and we recognize that, have some extra money as a thank you.

This year I was given a POF ar15. The renegade to he specific and with it a 10pack of magpul standard mags, and a case of pmc 5.56.

Yup. Got a $500 bonus, $150 kitchen knife set, milwaukee bit kit/utility knife/tape measure, a pound of chocolate truffles, a $20 subway giftcard, and a company t-shirt.

We also only worked for about 3 hours, then met up for a pickleball tournament, with first and second place being a foreman grill and a speaker set respectively. And of course, there were drinks and food. Party, gifts, and bonus depends on how lucrative the year was, but there's always at least something. (electrician btw)

We got lunch delivered and a team zoom. Ah, remote work. I still haven't done the lunch thing so I got one waiting for me. My boss is pretty great and he has done a lot for me professionally, I think I need to get him a gift card or goy beer subscription. I better do it soon.

Yes, and it was actually called a Christmas party. At a brewery, got a couple drink tickets and there was catered food. Pulled pork, ribs, chicken wings, kielbasa, few other things. Not too bad. No gifts.

My best work Christmas party was when I was a young welder. We all got turkeys and a bottle of Jack. He asked a few of us to stay after work and we got a pizza, drank the bourbon and did some thunder cocaine. My boss had excellent cocaine. LOL Miss that guy.

I worked for a dude like that, he owned a few stereo/tv/electronics stores. Party was at his house. Plenty of booze and blow……., turns out I spent most of the night in one of his many bathrooms doing lines with a dude that I worked with everyday…., conversation went on for hours as it tends to do…., someone pounded on the door so we joined the party again….., dirt bikes in the snow!

I got a fuck you, scheduled on Christmas and Christmas Eve days I'd normally have off, and a shift drink that I can't fuckin drink. My wife gave me a pair of pants and a piece of pussy and they was both too big.
