In a short few years won't it be impossible to tell if you are talking to a real person on the internet?

if dead_internet_theory return

For the purpose of influence the interwebs will soon be actually filled with bots. Not your grandpas bots but LLM bots. If you lived through the demise of chat rooms this will be a familiar concept to you. They were taken over, entirely, by bots in front of our eyes.

Won't the same thing happen to the rest of the internet now that LLM's have reached that level? What will the internet be like when you won't have any idea if you're talking to a real person or not. I mean, probably much better right, but also worse?

On an unrelated note I am hiring for a captcha solving service. Pay is .000000000001BTC per captcha.

Yeah, already happening. Already happened on the big sites. Get ready because the fun starts happening when video, and images improve. The propaganda machine will be in full action. Literally changing the narrative dynamically as the story evolves. The general public is going to be stupidly following the models, none the wiser.

I already wonder that... Especially here!

I have a bot with actual NLP training data that could convince you in a single conversation to drop everything and go anywhere to do anything.

The regime's bots stand exactly zero chance.

A subgraph of the opensource AI "arms race" is us goats.

Our propaganda is faster, more efficient, and spreading much quicker.

The globalites are going to lose the AI race. Banning independent and opensource research will merely drive it underground and hasten the former outcome.

Few years? How about now?

As far as the attention economy goes, either IRL becomes the gold standard again, or somebody creates an easy-to-implement verification/authentication service for content that the normies can understand (paging @Prototype )

The weapons, such as AI, that the regime funds will be their very undoing.

AI is a message amplifier in the right hands.

The regime will try to counter this by implementing real ID requirements to access the open web but that will fail. The intelligence agencies aren't the only ones that built out VPN and information-logistics networks.

Thanks for chiming in. I like this idea that we can steal the strategy of kicking shit everywhere to complicate things.

The first voice is Emily an AI but if you want to talk to a representative it's a street-shitter that hangs up on you when you call them Haji.

Lol, from now on when new accounts open we should endlessly stalk them calling out their botness until they verify proof of life.

It'll be way better than Fuck off were full.

Where the fuck have you been for the last 20 years?

If you are white and have a decent IQ then it doesn’t take much to know it’s a bot. I’ve noticed that a lot of marketing doesn’t work on me and hasn’t my whole life. Yes, I’m sure there is some that probably does slip through the cracks. Things about marketing always irked me and when I discovered some of the marketing tricks later in life then I figured out why I didn’t buy into it. AI will be the same and I can already detect it.

It basically already is. The biggest sites are half bots, minimum. They’re also becoming able to sanitize inputs, so you can’t trick them into revealing themselves by formatting your replies as “prompts” they’re formerly used to.
