Hi dass. How's your Christmas been? Mine? So-so. Bloody hot. Missus complaining all the time about the noisy family next door enjoying themselves. I say to her: "it is Christmas ffs!" but to no avail. Females seem to have a genetic predisposition to complaining. Do you find that with your missus? It drives me mad and I relish hopping on my bike and going to the shops.

Theory: he lived in an area affected by Hurricane Helene in September (eastern Tennessee / western North Carolina).

His posts stopped around the same time the massive floods swept through the mountains.

My thought is that he was anon with the mysterious out of the blue friend that he was slightly suspicious of and backed out/changed name when the suspicion got too strong.

Three years ago, I lived on a mountain near Murphy, NC in the Blue Ridge Mts. When Helene hit, the road up the mountain washed away, stranding the 7 homeowners for a month.

Most mountain folk live in the valleys, all of which experienced flooding. So living in the mountains doesn't make then a safe place.

Appreciate the sentiment, bro.

I feel like you can probably understand that this place means a lot to me, perhaps in a similar way to how you relate to the GTV community; you're a part of something.

It used to be like that here (.co, I mean). After spending my youth feeling disenfranchised without even being aware of it (or having the faintest notion of why), I finally found a place where I belonged.

That's why I am happy to offer what little service I can to this community.
