The elimination of mexican work crews is the priority.

[ - ] FreeinTX 6 points 4 monthsJan 1, 2025 15:40:38 ago (+6/-0)

It totally is.

I visited the testing site. Total badass.

They have a "Phoenix" printer, too. It can make far more complicated designs.

We got pricing to build our house, but unless you can differ the cost of the unit transportation and setup and on site materials mixing among a few dozen homes, it's not cost feasible.

I'm telling you, this is the future for house building and it's fuckin' awesone.

Add in some metal powder to reflect electromagnetic radiation and the house is now a Faraday cage. Perfect for stopping 5G and any (((government))) radar devices that want to snoop inside people's homes.

There are definitely issues with the unknowns of long term stability and how best to do repairs and modifications, but if the price drops to $100k then these could be useful. Make it out of Roman concrete and it could last centuries.

...3D printing homes is faster, less expensive, requires fewer workers, and minimizes construction material waste.

@FreeinTX makes a good point about costs vs scale. Needing to do multiple homes at the same location seems to be the only downside, as long as you're okay with a 'standard' dwelling.

Custom homes would be a different story, but there are other non-traditional building systems that are still superior to stick frame.

Look into that company's "phoenix" printer. It does nothing but custom home and the craziest shapes are possible.

Super bad ass stuff. But yes, a neighborhood of cool homes is needed to make it worth the costs.

It requires no beaners.

[ - ] FreeinTX 2 points 4 monthsJan 1, 2025 15:43:10 ago (+2/-0)

No beaners and after the set up of the printer, it takes 4-6 people to print the home. Then the crews to do the piping and plumbing are still conventional.

Which doesn't mean that they won't come or won't be let in.

Literal beaner in the 4th image given

Is that you?

Still gotta run pipe and pull wire. Ducting, set windows, hang doors, etc. I live in a concrete house. It sucks. Have fun faggots.

[ - ] dassar 2 points 4 monthsJan 1, 2025 18:47:12 ago (+2/-0)

So, it's really just an expensive automated concrete pourer.
Meh, cool i guess but whatever.

No rebar? Good luck, kek

[ - ] Zyklonbeekeeper 1 point 4 monthsJan 1, 2025 15:51:31 ago (+1/-0)

It'll be only a matter of time before a dump truck or cement mixer, or whatever type of equipment is on site, backs into or over the print system or tracking that the unit travels.

Even with little labor the houses are still over half million.

[ - ] Steelerfish -1 points 4 monthsJan 1, 2025 15:13:23 ago (+1/-2)

In a real and just world, 80%-90% of all construction workers would be sent back to Guatemala, Honduras, or from wherever shithole they came…

Most White kids are too lazy to work these days, and unless you like to keep replacing missing tools- no one hires niggers…

[ - ] TheNoticing 4 points 4 monthsJan 1, 2025 16:20:12 ago (+4/-0)

When spics are given those jobs, what are White teenagers to do?

[ - ] Steelerfish 1 point 4 monthsJan 1, 2025 18:15:42 ago (+1/-0)

Video games

[ - ] FreeinTX 3 points 4 monthsJan 1, 2025 15:44:25 ago (+3/-0)

White kids aren't lazy. They just aren't interested in working their ass off for $12/hr.

[ - ] Sector2 1 point 4 monthsJan 1, 2025 16:20:50 ago (+1/-0)

It was $18 per hour back in the 80s.

[ - ] firestation7 0 points 4 monthsJan 1, 2025 16:06:46 ago (+1/-1)

When my mom got her first job she only made 50¢ an hour. 12 is a lot of money. Don't be greedy.

[ - ] FreeinTX 4 points 4 monthsJan 1, 2025 16:11:26 ago (+4/-0)

Your mom? Look, 50 cents an hour to sell lollipops at the local fair in 1936 might sound good, but laying asphalt in the Texas heat in 2024 for $12/hr. is for illegals and suckers. It costs $25 to buy lunch at a place 1 step above fast food.

[ - ] firestation7 0 points 4 monthsJan 2, 2025 08:07:40 ago (+0/-0)

I should have used the /s.
