I used to admire Mussolini when I was younger and stupid. Then I realized he was just a tin pot dictator whose ideology was garbage. His notion of constant military expansion lead to some embarrassing defeats in Africa from desert tribesmen. Hardly the great Roman Empire. His idea of war as hygiene is actually wrong, war is debt and bankrupts countries. He became a patsy for Hitler and was beaten to a pulp by his own countrymen.

Italy is now ruled by pensioners who are eating their own youth by ridiculously generous pension payments for old farts while making life unlivable for the young. I guess their idea of progress or fascism now is old boomers sitting on their ass in the local cafe getting fat from government subsidies. And people wonder why Italy's birth rate is 1.24. Well below replacement and one of the lowest in the world. Their population is collapsing and they're more worried about keeping regular payments coming to old bags.

If you want to increase the local native population you make life livable for them by lowering taxes, offering child care, etc. These people are beyond terminal. It's like watching a controlled demolition.
