IIRC, more then 40 years ago there was this idea that Greeenland could declare independence and then sell themselves to either the US or to the (then) Soviet Union and make everyone who lived there rich. The newly rich residents would move away from Greenland.

Good move by Greenland. Otherwise Denmark would be getting paid and Greenland would have no bargaining position.

Would be pretty wild if Canada and Greenland actually became #51 and #52. Aside from everything else, Trumpstein has the entertainer persona nailed.
