I had fog. I don't know what's bullshit and what isn't, so I didn't stand outside and taste the fog. I closed every window.

Venice Florida is pretty swampy and sometimes smells awful, I live in the area and wildfires aren't exactly uncommon.

Its called an inversion layer. It's basic meteorology, like seriously, sixth grade shit.

When these roll in, the weather stalls out and the build up begins... fog, for sure, but then because there are 10's and 100's of millions of people, living the western lifestyle,(of which at least 1/5 absolutely to possibly upwards 1/3 are illegals) the pollution and particulates also build up in the "stagnant air" and now you are huffing the pollution in higher and higher concentrates, mixed in with the fog.


Wood stove smoke, car exhaust, maybe you got a nat gas/oil power plant near by, got some manufacturing around, a smelter or two, a railroad exchange nearby,a couple million people breathing and spitting in and out all day??? All that off-gassing sticks around and builds up, till the inversion layer passes and the winds start. Its real simple shit and a corner stone of weather science.


Now, I aint saying shyt about "what" is building up in the inversion layer, locations vary and there may be something to this volcano thing, yellowstone is absolutely on the move the last few years and some weird crap is going on in the ring of fire off the coasts, so there is that...
