Shouldn't the same principle apply to the justice system? Oh? It doesn't? Okay. Thought so, that's reasonable I guess.

When I was a teen I had a rifle and a pistol that I kept in my bedroom. Not for self defense, they were just mine. It was perfectly legal and normal. My parents were aware they had no problem with it. I lived in the suburbs and wasn’t stupid enough to go rootin’ tootin’ shootin’ around the house. But I would take them to a range nearby or head off into some scrub land near and set up my own range. Now a days my parents would be arrested.

Haha, yep. I've had a couple of sketchy interactions out on my property too. Always have a piece strapped. I know it's kept at least one situation from boiling over.
