That’s ridiculous the earth tilt hasn’t changed, it’s obvious Alaska is on the move and heading south.

We're gonna see the pole flip in our lifetime. Yay....

Apparently Alaska & New Zealand are the two best possible safe zones to survive it, stay away from the equator.

the poles have flipped many times, no big deal

The sun 100% sets further north by a significant amount than it did when I moved in here like ten years ago. I noticed it roughly 3 years ago.

That's fascinating. My wife and I had a discussion this fall that the Moon was a little off from where we remember it.

The winds are different around here too, my boss (4th gen farmer) keeps complaining about it.

Same here. I live on the edge of farming territory.

I've seriously shat myself when I see the moon sometimes. Its not always where it should/is expected to be.

I bet she won't even be grateful for it. She'll find some way to complain about it.

If they are so wise, why do they live in fuckin igloos and shacks?

[ - ] PostWallHelena 0 points 3 daysJan 11, 2025 00:05:36 ago (+2/-2)

I believe precession of the axis is continuous over tens of thousands of years. Not sure if it would be significantly different in an inuit’s lifetime.

Hey fags, this is not the same thing as the magnetic poles moving or flipping. I don’t think the two are related at all.

[ - ] Rotteuxx [op] 0 points 3 daysJan 11, 2025 00:12:57 ago (+0/-0)

I'd be willing to bet that the magnetic poles dancing around can have an effect on the earth's rotational axis, possibly combined with solar surfing waves frictionating with the atmosphere but what do I know!

[ - ] i_scream_trucks 3 points 3 daysJan 11, 2025 02:26:32 ago (+3/-0)

'frictionating with the atmosphere'

i dont think you understand a single word you typed.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 2 points 3 daysJan 11, 2025 00:16:37 ago (+2/-0)

You are probably right. Doesnt seem reasonable that they have no effect on each other. But they are two different phenomena.
