I want to get rich quick, so I figured I would try to write a screenplay and sell the rights to a movie studio. Obviously, the best way to get your script picked up is if you write a Holocaust movie (DUH!), but I really want to make a movie that is less "been there, done that", yet still profoundly Jewish. I mean...how many B&W movies featuring Nazis can possibly be made? I know, "infinite," but I don't want to write one.

I have come up with the premise for what could be a real tearjerker with some tender moments and a real character arc.

Avi Fink arrives from Belarus to New York City penniless in the late 1980's. He initially finds work as a schlepper in the Garment District to feed himself and through perseverance he gets promoted to store manager for the ailing American Jewish owner. Although he is now able to afford a small apartment in Brooklyn, he knows that he is destined for better. While in the garment district, he comes to be more streetwise and sees an opportunity for himself in befriending Keisha, a very young and still somewhat vulnerable Black prostitute who he is able to talk into managing.

Eventually, he is able to take Keisha away from the mean streets of Midtown Manhattan by becoming her full-time pimp and arranging safer dates for her more exclusively in the Jewish communities of Brooklyn. After a time, he raises a stake from her earnings and uses her as the face of a niche pornography business he has purchased from another Jew--more specifically one dealing in mostly scat porn. By now, 8 months have passed and Keisha is fully consumed by crack. He renames her "Shitney Poohston" and has her exclusively performing live scat shows regionally--even transporting her to and fro appearances in a locked horse trailer. In watching her perform one day he becomes conflicted by simultaneous feelings of greed, arousal, sympathy and even admiration. He falls in love with her (and with shit) and now he realizes that it is them against the world.
