God does things that are beyond my understanding and capabilities. From my limited experience of my life, I’ve seen Him use events and things as examples. I’ve seen Him use them as tests (testing our will, our commitment, our resolve, our learning) for our lives. I’ve seen Him do things that make no sense to me, and sometimes the truth is revealed later. Sometimes not.

While we should trust His word and what He does, we should also not be unaware of the way of the world and the things in it. His gift of intelligence and reasoning to the people of good and light (those that I belong to, the White people of the world) lets me see things as they are, not sugar coated in the irrational belief that “we are all the same”. We are not.

To your question, I would ask this: Why did God create the cockroach or crocodile? Why did he create the polar bear-who is vicious and even malicious and a danger to anyone close. Why the serpent or any of those things that could kill you, if you let them? It’s the way of the world, and I don’t need to know WHY, just that there are things that are not worthy of redemption or grace or our compassion. Perhaps they are just examples of things to avoid.
