pictures loaded from top down.
mpg video (3-5min).. a day or more to download (dont forget about random disconnections and session limits!)

Full movie.... a week. a fucking week and the file will likely be corrupt after resuming 22 times.

That seems more in line with 56k, but our connection had a lot of noise. I remember seeing the download for the Unreal Tournament demo being 99mb, and saying "oh fuck me sideways". It took the better part of the night but was so worth it.

You have a 1.8 million man military and 900,000 police officers that will have to control 350 million people. Even if only a quarter of those people become even the slightest bit violent it'll be a problem for them.
