Hearing Protection

submitted by h_entropy to AskUpgoat 3 monthsJan 23, 2025 02:02:09 ago (+2/-0)     (AskUpgoat)

All right my fellow goats, getting frustrated and need some input.
I need hearing protection with Bluetooth connectivity. After hours of research most options are shit. I need a pair of earmuffs that have good noise isolation, durable, with decent sound. None of that awareness amplification nonsense. Active noise cancellation is ok, but passive noise reduction is better. Sony Xm4 earmuffs we're ok, but not at all durable and require an app on my phone to use effectively.
Tried several 3m options and those are garbage. Thanks in advance

Ok.

...with Bluetooth connectivity.

Wait, what?

I work in a loud shop. I would like to isolate from high dB while listening to music. @Anus_expander has a functional solution. I was just hoping someone had a better solution.

use earbuds with bigass muffs over them

That is what I have been doing. I would prefer a single finale solution.

Someone had noise cancelling Bose back in 2017. Tried them on and found noise cancelling to be too unsettling.

Again, years later, Apple has a noise cancelling whatever.

I use neither.
