He hasn't been seen in a while, after being hospitalized and voluntarily leaving after hearing word that he had 3 weeks before organ shutdown.

I'm assuming he didn't make it. Rest in peace, @PenisEnvy

From what I have gathered (in chat), it started with a cut on his foot that got nasty. He ended up in ICU with them warning they may have to cut off his foot. Then they said his foot would be ok, then they changed their mind again. He then said he was told he had some kind of "superbug" and they didn't know what it was and that they predicted he had 3 weeks until organ shutdown. He decided to spend what time he had left at home so he discharged himself and had a friend pick him up from the hospital. Last I heard, he was going to surprise his wife and just show up at home. No contact has been made since then that I am aware of.

I'd like to see him post a Samuel L. Clemens quote.

Sounds like me in 2024 with the toe amputation. Doctors said amputation of the foot likely, so I changed doctors. Lost a toe but it s-l-o-w-l-y healed. Two weeks ago new doctor said no more follow up visits and congrats. Whew!

i dont remember him saying anything about his organs shutting down. i video chatted with him in jitsi for a few hours since his last sighting. youd think he would have mentioned this, but no. he was worried about losing his foot and that was all.

Id like to think that I’d let you all know WTF, if I was on my way out, but who knows.
