Nice, I'll add a few:

Aposematism - honest signalling of danger to potential predators (like brightly coloured poisonous tree frogs, or blue-haired transfaggots since you'll probably catch a disease if their blood gets on you)

Vulgum pecus - the ignorant masses ("great unwashed")

Baader-Meinhof phenomenon - suddenly seeing something everywhere after having noticed it on a more conscious level

Pinky toe and finger are referred to as Small (toe/ finger) or as Fifth. The thumb/ big toe are referred to as Great or First.
There are muscles with similar word to minimus (flexor and extensor digiti minimi) but I've never heard minimus in reference to toe/finger. Only as a descriptor/ part of a name.

Fun fact: A large percentage of people do not have flexor digiti minimi muscle. You can easily check this on yourself. Place you hand palm side up on a table. Use your other hand to block the index, long, ring fingers keeping them straight. Now try to bring the pinky to the palm. If it moves freely/ full range you have the muscle. If it only partially bends, or doesn't move much at all, you don't have the minimi and instead use the same muscle that allows for flexion of the ring finger. I don't think there is any functional limitation from not having it. I just think it's neat.

Mine moves. I will now use this a metric of my superiority. If you cannot so this, then you’re naturally an inferior specimen and should be put to death. Probably Jewish.

[ - ] NeverHappened 0 points 3 monthsJan 29, 2025 09:44:43 ago (+0/-0)

Kek. As someone with the muscle on both arms, I agree it is a sign of superiority.

[ - ] Peleg 2 points 3 monthsJan 28, 2025 18:01:19 ago (+2/-0)

I'm setting here laughing at all you faggots holding your fingers down trying to wiggle the pinky!

Not really. Really my little finger moved easily but didn't make it all the way to my palm, but I think it is more because of uncle Arthur than not having the muscle. Arthritis sucks! And getting old is not for the weak. At least, that is, if you've Lived a full and busy life!

[ - ] NeverHappened 1 point 3 monthsJan 29, 2025 09:56:50 ago (+1/-0)

Uncle Arthur certainly sucks. I mostly see issues with hands and shoulders in my line of work. Not too much to do except limit the strain on your joints by using good body posture/mechanics and completing exercises/ stretches to increase strength and range of motion, which may help to minimize pain and prevent worsening. If you are able you might want to look into Occupational Therapy or more specifically a hand specialist for specific exercises and whatnot.
Since you're on this site, you probably already know how important a good diet is for good health but this is another area of consideration.
We tend to appreciate good health and function after we don't have it anymore but I guess that's true for a lot of areas in life. You have a good way of looking at it though. Full and busy life indeed.

[ - ] Sector2 1 point 3 monthsJan 28, 2025 13:55:51 ago (+1/-0)

The glabella, in humans, is the area of skin between the eyebrows and above the nose. The term also refers to the underlying bone that is slightly depressed, and joins the two brow ridges. It is a cephalometric landmark that is just superior to the nasion.

Checks out. Now do cephalometric and nasion.
