my bro used to live in an apartment where they had this type HOA which had a deal with att internet back then they were starting to have gigabit speeds. my bro had the whole uverse package at a discount because of that.

unfortunately, we only had two major players in the miami area which was comcast and att which they shared the monopoly on cable and internet right then.

now we got more competition in that regard by then i used to have dsl internet with a blazing speed of 1.5 mb the idiot that came to install the service told me that i had the fastest speed in the whole area which btw was a lie. my connection used to drop alot and i went through many modems from netgear to linksys and everything in between.

then switched to comcast and while they raise the prices annually the speeds got much better. i started with 25 mbps and now im on 500 mb. i dislike both companies with a passion but where i live we have tmobile internet but is so freaking slow at night. yeah i will stick with comcrap until something better comes along. i could go back with att and get gigabit but my past experiences with them have soured me on that company.

500 mb is enough for our household anyway. the thing that bothers me about compcrap aside from its prices are the fucking data caps which is high way robbery 1 terabite for a house of 6 people is not enough lol

Exactly. First question after the rent is how is the cable/internet situation, next is other utilities. There are some communities that try a "rent refusal" scam if you don't keep current with water, power, etc.
