It was my moms 80th birthday recently so I had her over to the house here and me and my buddy Chris jammed out for an hour and a half for her.

Here is one of the songs we played, and she grabbed a maraca and played along with us!

I haven't watched the halftime in a while. That means I miss the commercials, which I actually am often amused by. I'm just not a fan of the artists they have playing. I don't even know who it's going to be this year, but I'm sure it won't be someone I like.

Hell yeah it is. My piece of shit biological sperm donor of a "father" was a child prodigy piano player. He was always jealous of me with guitar, I was always jealous of him on piano. I'll never be good at it.

I played a little as a kid, then stopped for 40 years. Picked it up again 6 months ago, and play 1-3 hours every day, love it.

If that's what you want to do then it's progress.

I can play keys a bit but I can't do things like read the sheet music and play at the same time (sight reading). I'm not that speedy with the keys, though my reading speed picks up as I practice. I just never practice. So, it takes me a few hours to learn a song.

I play by ear, along with Pandora, a mix of genres. Guitar no longer intrigues me. Tried to learn violin, but it's so LOUD, unbearable.

I don't open many threads during January. That might explain it. I take January off and Sleazy opens the threads.

Otherwise, I've opened a bunch of 'em and posted in all of them. We'll stop with the FNGT when we're dead, I suppose.
