THE FLYING DUTCHMAN Around Easter 1676, the reckless Dutch captain Willem van der Decken was waiting with his ship in the port of Terneuzen. It had been storming for days (climate change!! - LOL) and no ship could leave the port. On Easter, the skipper became so frustrated that he decided to sail to the East Indies anyway. A fatal decision. Since then, a fictional ghost ship with red sails has been wandering around the area of the Cape of Good Hope forever.
