If you call back with 69, you don't know who you're calling. If you don't want to talk to the person you just called back with "69" and just hang up, they can "69" you. Calling a person that you don't want to talk to is fucking stupid.

69 doesn't help you avoid talking to someone. Not even in your own stupid fucking scenario. Not picking up a ringing phone did that. Screening calls back then was done with an answering machine, then came caller ID.
