The benefits of an ebike, besides fresh air and mild cardio (both unheard of activities for fatmericans) are the cost savings. Removing them just puts more people in cars, clogging up the already hilariously clogged roads of the jewnited states of mexico.

It actually is legal... For now. They're changing the rules soon to make it illegal, but I doubt anyone's running around checking bicycles. Besides, I'll have a trailer built for it soon enough and it'll be my grocery-getter.

Paniers, rear under basket for battery, rear top basket for whatever, trailer for odds and ends like wood or metal or whatever. There's not a lot of room for a front basket, considering it was a top-end mountain bike before conversion.
