A Texas father learned his fate after admitting to killing his 8-year-old daughter by forcing her to jump on a trampoline in withering heat as punishment.

The girl, Jaylin Anne, was forced to jump on the trampoline in 110-degree heat and died of dehydration.

Yeas, i'm curious the Prosecution reasons for why the distinction in the sentencing and or charges?.
Manslaughter vs Capital murder, and 18 years with chance of parole vs life with no parole yet the article chooses to focus on the 'Dad', the 'lesser' of the two offenders.
