TIL - we believe in our “Conspiracy Theories” only out of spite because we feel inferior to the experts and authorities.

https://studyfinds.org/conspiracy-theories-spite/

These authors truly believe they are superior- that they are “The Science”, and penned the study findings with all the arrogance of an elitist disgusted by the unwashed masses.
Even going as far as flouting it as “fact checked” and “verified”…
How the fuck do you “verify” that interpreting raw data and forming a contradictory conclusion than the approved “experts” is done purely from spite?

It’s pure psychological projection of their actual inferiority and manipulation of data and fact.
An Allinski tactic to isolate, ridicule, and eliminate legitimate debate.

I pray they suffer from a “medical coincidence” -of course completely unrelated to having been boosted for every variation of COVID and flu possible.

Utter bullshit.

Look at the number of "Conspiracy theories" that have been proven true.

Some people seek truth, others try to hide truth.

Where I come from if something isn't true it's called a lie.

Not:

Racist
Antisemitic
Bigotry
Conspiracy Theory

Do they actually believe the stuff they say or do they just use propaganda like this to influence your acquiescence? It's entirely possible that they know they are lying but just think it's for our own good. Not that I agree with them or believe they should be defended.

It's like how those Mayan priests would lie to people about solar eclipses. I doubt they actually believe the shit they make up.

I guess, my point is that it's probably not worth it to be upset about the lying because it's kind of a given that all of this psychological manipulation is bullshit at this point.

Otherwise, I like your post and think it is a worthwhile topic to consider.

It seems to me it's cognitive dissonance.
Take convid for example. People really bought it, made sacrifices, lost jobs, friends, yadayada.
Now if you tell them that the pandemic (that started 0:00 jan. 1st 2020 and had a average age of mortality higher than average life expectance) is fake, they simply will refuse to accept/ process that.
They're in the matrix.

Check reddit.com r/OpenlyFallible/
That's some endless drivel about conspiracies/ sCiEncE/FaCtS/etc. that's written by someone in his free time. absolute madness.

Well I agree the intended audience believes it. I guess what I mean is whether or not the source from which the manipulative disinformation emanates actually believes it. Like in your example, I am pretty sure Fauci doesn't even believe most of the covid disinformation. He's even publicly made contradictory statements about the effectiveness of recommended actions like masks and distancing. I believe most of the people that make the disinformation don't believe it because their true intention is just mass psychological manipulation. And I'm not saying "mass psychological manipulation" in a way that should convey conspiratorial connotations because I believe that mass psychological manipulation has been a key tool that leaders throughout history have used. I'm not excusing or endorsing the tactic I am simply acknowledging that it exists.

That's probably the case. There is an agenda that's being pushed and the bullshit narrative is just to get the people there.

They believe in yhe agenda.

How would you know that, unless you're one of them.

Normies never used the terms disinformation or misinformation until after March 2020.

I have never heard anyone say that in person.

It's always a journalist, social media, news media, influencer who uses this style of verbiage.

Why is Alec Baldwin not behind bars for committing cold blooded murder?

Only the communist knows

They ‘believe’ what they are paid to believe.

Maybe sometimes.

I've seen all kinds of data here. Believers in conspiracy theories can often be very well educated people formally. They can also be groups like blacks or Muslims.

Almost every theory I believed in they called a conspiracy has been proven true
