interesting question.I'm going to take a bit of a survey around here (irl) to see what the opinion is.
I;m thinking the opposite of you. A lot of tricks were learned during the last one and I think ~a certain lower income~ would appreciate another pandemic. Welcome it even. We'll see.
You mean the measles? That harmless disease that already is showing signs of scaring the hell out of the public for no reason at all and seeing social pressures to once again get stuck with a needle to inject unknown things into the human body?

mathz says about 8-10 months... That's when the first of the new energy (oil) will be hitting the markets. Once that happens, everything eases up.
short of any wild craziness (black swans)... and I feel like there's a high chance of all that...
Gotta go through the official "recession " talk (we're all in one, but the last admin really jooked the numbers so it's not understood by the normies...) and gotta tie that Ukraine nonesence up, before it spirals out of control.. Get a bit of industry (GDP) and jobs back through a bit of tariffs and trade waring... Then the boom could begin again...
but remember...the US is 60 trillion in debt, the EU is just as bad, most of which is owned by the enemy... Thats a hard yoke to cast off...
Also the hoothi's again are shooting cargo ships, so there is that.
Only the critically uneducated could believe the varnish of cheap retail means booming.
The US is 36 trillion in debt. If every single dollar collected by taxation were applied to that debt, there would still be an annual deficit in the Trillions. Beyond deficit spending adding over 2 Trillion more last year alone, the interest accrual is exponential.
There is no possibility of a booming economy. What we can experience is a brief illusion of recovery before it collapses.
I don't think that the timing of the last was as intentional as this.
More likely, the perpetrators where trying for decades to get the perception of a pandemic off the ground. At first with SARS, then with Swine flu, later Ebola, Zika and so on.
The one that finally achieved the desired level of panic sufficient to generate a "healthy new market for vaccines" happened to occur with their Nth attempt, "covid".
I recognize that the same thing could have happened a few years earlier, but I think that the ubiquity of mobile phones and people constantly micro-dosing on "news" was instrumental and only possible once a large enough portion of the population was doing so by the very late '10s and early '20s.

Unless bodies are piling up at local hospitals, and people are dropping dead in the streets no one is going to believe them.
